My brother Dana and I were 15 months apart, close not only in age but in our spirit. Moving constantly growing up, we were best friends, constantly fighting, fierce allies, closest confidantes. There is no-one that I’ve loved more in my life, or been so close to as my brother.

He was shot by armed robbers, ripped open by a senseless act of horrific violence. He was in a coma for 3 weeks and then removed from life support. He will ever and always be missed by everyone who knew him, because once you felt the light of Dana’s radiance, you never forgot it.

The site that I created for the stories of those who loved him is here, Dana in Our Hearts.

What follows are the posts from when it all happened, as well as my ongoing search for solace and dealing with a world without my brother.
